No. There is no cost to register your business with the City of Aurora.

IS THERE A DEADLINE TO REGISTER?

Yes. The deadline to register your business for free is December 31, 2025.

I CURRENTLY HOLD A VALID BUSINESS LICENSE WITH THE CITY, DO I ALSO NEED TO REGISTER?

Yes. All licensed businesses must also register with the City of Aurora to maintain updated safety and communication data. Registered businesses are still required to renew business licenses on an annual basis.

ACTUALMENTE TENGO UNA LICENCIA COMERCIAL VÁLIDA EN LA CIUDAD, ¿DEBO REGISTRARME TAMBIÉN?

WHAT IS THE BUSINESS REGISTRATION ORDINANCE?

Adopted by Aurora, IL. City Council in April 2020, the Business Registration Ordinance requires all for-profit and not-for-profit businesses and organizations operating within the municipal boundaries of Aurora, to register their business with the City of Aurora.
