Overview
During Mayor John Laesch's first 100 days in office, he, along with key members of his administration, hosted the Community Listening & Action Town Hall tour. This event series, which took place on four consecutive Saturdays between July 26 and August 16, covered all 10 Wards and invited residents to provide key feedback on the direction of the City of Aurora moving forward.
“We want to give the community an opportunity to provide feedback on the state of Aurora,” Mayor Laesch said. “This listening tour will help my staff and I to better understand what our residents want to see from us and the City over the next four years.”
Each session allowed residents to work directly with City leadership, helping to make the community at-large more engaged, prosperous, and connected.
"We want to be responsive to the needs of our residents,” Chief of StaffShannon Cameron said. “These Town Halls will not only assist us in serving the City, but also encourage civic engagement, helping to build towards the goal of a people-centered government.”
Now, with the initial tour concluding, the Mayor's Office is utilizing this page to communicate findings, offer additional opportunities for feedback, and provide residents with real-time updates on the progress of implementing change based on comments from the sessions.
