The 2025 Town Hall Tour

During Mayor John Laesch's first 100 days in office, he, along with key members of his administration, hosted the Community Listening & Action Town Hall tour. This event series, which took place on four consecutive Saturdays between July 26 and August 16, covered all 10 Wards and invited residents to provide key feedback on the direction of the City of Aurora moving forward.

Aurora citizen voices concerns during 2025 town hall meeting.“We want to give the community an opportunity to provide feedback on the state of Aurora,” Mayor Laesch said. “This listening tour will help my staff and I to better understand what our residents want to see from us and the City over the next four years.”

Each session allowed residents to work directly with City leadership, helping to make the community at-large more engaged, prosperous, and connected.

Upcoming Town Hall Listening Sessions will form the basis of the Engagement branch of a People-Centered Government. Education—achieved through civic engagement courses, and Policy—enacted through the City’s Public Transition Committees who work towards the policy-making process, help make up this three-prong system.
