Ward 6 Alderman Michael Saville
Michael Saville was born and raised in Aurora, attended McCleery Elementary School, Jefferson Middle School, graduated from West Aurora High School and earned his BA degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Alderman Saville is the Community Associate Property Manager at Associated Partners, Inc.
Alderman Saville officially became active in the community in 1980 when he was appointed to the Aurora Planning Commission and served until 1985. Alderman Saville was appointed to the Aurora City Council in May of 1985. In 1987, 1991, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023 he successfully ran for re-election as Alderman of the Sixth Ward.
He was a member of the DuKane Valley Executive Committee from 1986 to 1990 and served for one term as its Vice-Chairman. Alderman Saville is also a past member of the Aurora Downtown Redevelopment Corporation (Aurora Downtown). Alderman Saville is the originator of the Riverwalk Commission as well as its Chairman since its inception in 1988.
The Riverwalk Commission established the FoxWalk District and Design Guidelines that the City Council adopted and established for development and re-development for the next 40 years.
Alderman Saville has been serving on the Aurora City Council as Alderman since 1985. In 1986 he proposed an ordinance to establish a Riverwalk Commission, which the City Council adopted in 1987 and in 1988 they started meeting with him as the chairman. He has served on the Planning & Development Committee, Government Operations Committee, Finance Committee and was the alternate for the Building, Grounds and Infrastructure Committee from 2013-2015. He was unanimously voted as the current Mayor Pro Tem. He is currently the Chairperson of the Public Health, Safety, and Transportation (PHST) Committee, and a member of the Building, Zoning and Economic Development (BZE) Committee.

myAurora 311 allows residents to access a new online customer support center, a new mobile application, available for download in the App Store and Google Play, an upgraded phone service, and an enhanced in-person customer service location, set to open in late 2025.
With new calls and cases expected, the City's current in-person customer service call center, located at 3770 McCoy Drive, will also expand its hours, now being open from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M., Monday through Friday!
The system allows customers to submit cases, such as street maintenance and repair requests, garbage or debris issues, unsafe structures, and more through the mobile app, online, or by dialing “3-1-1" when residing within City limits.
