Alderman At-Large Ron Woerman
Ron originally moved to Aurora in 1986. He and his wife Irasema reside in the 1st ward. Ron has been married for 20+ years and is a proud father of 4 daughters: Gabriella, Emily, Cheyenne, and Irasema Grace.
Initially Ron’s professional career was in banking, healthcare, and telecommunications with various roles in budgeting, compliance, and accounting. Today, Ron is an entrepreneur with many successful businesses and investments located in Aurora. Ron currently operates two restaurants located in Aurora: O’Malley’s Pub & Eatery located on the far East side and Spartan House located on the West side.
Ron is a proud in supporter many charitable causes in our community. He supports youth sports, the West Aurora A+ Foundation, the Aurora East Educational Foundation, the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Hesed House and many other community-based programs. Ron is a current member of the Exchange Club of Aurora and Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Ron is the Chair for the Rules, Administration, and Procedures (RAP) Committee as well as a member of the Finance Committee.
myAURORA 311 is live!
myAurora 311 allows residents to access a new online customer support center, a new mobile application, available for download in the App Store and Google Play, an upgraded phone service, and an enhanced in-person customer service location, set to open in late 2025.
With new calls and cases expected, the City's current in-person customer service call center, located at 3770 McCoy Drive, will also expand its hours, now being open from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M., Monday through Friday!
The system allows customers to submit cases, such as street maintenance and repair requests, garbage or debris issues, unsafe structures, and more through the mobile app, online, or by dialing “3-1-1" when residing within City limits.
