Will White is a dedicated higher education professional with extensive experience in workforce and economic development. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Career and Job Placement Center at the College of Lake County (CLC) in Northern Illinois, Will oversees a multi-million dollar budget that trains students for community-based employment opportunities in Lake County. In addition to his workforce development position, Will supports initiatives such as the Urban Farm Center designed to bring community vibrancy to Waukegan, Illinois as well as various nonprofits in the Lake County region. Will also is a member of Rotary Club-Grayslake and a Board Member for the Lake County Chamber of Commerce.
Since the early 2000’s, Will has been engaged in community development. In New Orleans, Louisiana, he worked as a small business consultant at the University of New Orleans. He developed and ran an entrepreneurial training program in Cincinnati, Ohio, through Cincinnati State and the City of Cincinnati. Most recently, Will spearheaded economic development initiatives in the Chicagoland/Northern Illinois areas. His background in finance, working for both the Department of Defense and Procter & Gamble, serves as a foundation for optimizing college teams and resources.
With a passion for lifelong learning, Will is a doctoral candidate at Morgan State University, studying the impact of innovative auxiliary funding streams on community college budgeting and student success.
