Ward 1 Clean-Up Event Comes May 10!

Join Alderman Dan Barreiro for Ward 1's Annual Clean-Up Event, taking place on Saturday, May 10 from 8 A.M. to 11 A.M.

Trash compactor trucks will be placed at the Spring Street Commuter Parking Lot, located at N. Lincoln Avenue and Spring Street.

Acceptable items for the trash compactor trucks include: building materials, empty or dried out paint cans, discarded furniture, large and small household appliances, carpet and pads, grills, wood, metal, old toys, bicycles, mattresses, and similar items.

Acceptable items for the metal recyclers include: aluminum, auto batteries, radiators, brass, copper, insulated wire (extension cord, phone wire, romex) and steel (rebar, sheet iron).

No electronics are allowed.
